I wrote those goals in January for the new year. Here's a progress report:
1) Live Better: C+
2) Live Healthier: F-
3) Live Smarter: B-
I won't bore you with the details of how miserably I'm doing in each of these categories. But, after some reflection, I realized that there is one common denominator to my overall poor performance: busyness. I made a goal to simplify life and get back to the basics. But as you probably know, that's WAY easier said than done. Busyness steals time away that I should be spending with my loved ones (myself included), time that I need to exercise and prepare healthier meals, time that I could use on researching ways to save money and invest in my future.
I have more to-do's than I have time to do them (don't we all), which results in me always feeling overwhelmed and rushed and in a perpetual state of I'm never going to catch up! We're only entering the third month of 2009 and already I feel burnt out. Something needs to change.
