Actually... more like trying to read...

 whatcha got there mom?

 any food?

even the turkeys came over to investigate

uh oh here comes Henrietta...

 what's going on here?

 whoa too close!

Max decided he'd find out what this book was all about...

apparently he found what he read rather boring...

oh come on Max, it's not that boring. It's a love story... well kind of. It's set in Constantinople... what? you don't know what that means? Well.... it's a long story.

Snickerdoodle wanted to learn more about the story but he was getting pretty tired of standing.

hey Henrietta, you should see the look Max is giving you...

 it's really not that bad...

Even Maggie came over to check out the book...

Then Sammy came over to look, or taste the book rather...

Hmm... what's this story about?

there are not goats in this book you say?

then why are you even reading it? I think I should just eat it...

Typed by mom for R:  I am asking if we can borrow this photo (the last one) and use it for my newspaper article. The article is for the Lower Elementary Times at the Inly School in Scituate, MA. The article is about D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) which is a reading activity we have at Inly. Your website is really fun and that photo is just what  I am looking for. Sincerely, R

Thank you so much for the great comments everyone! I'm glad I got to share some of my furry kids with you and that they made you smile.

Apparently there is a critic in every crowd of goats! They are pretty critical of my singing at night to them too - however one doe does like certain Elvis Presley songs sang to her while I'm milking her! :)

Love it! And can totally relate; I have a small hobby farm. So nice to see someone else who uses an LGD! Is he all Pyr or a mix? We currently have a 3/4 Pyr 1/4 Maremma but our first was a 1/2 Pyr 1/2 Anatolian.

I've been trying to find a click-through to your blog, but with no luck so far.

Come check me out some time! I'm at Bringing Borya Home at http://bringingboryahome.blogspot.com

Have a great day!

Anne

LOL, goats have to taste test EVERYTHING. Mine got shocked once by an electric cord. She never touched another ever again:)
