My Brain on Synthetic Hormones & Anti-Anxiety Medication by LEIGHOLA ANN
By Allison Cook on September 04, 2011
Can you believe it? My house is going through menopause with me. I’ve lived in my home for 26 years and the freak’n place is falling apart! I’ve lived in my body for 53 years, my house should be in its prime for crying out loud. Instead, like me, my house has become so darnn needy. If it’s not one thing it’s another; new carpet (hee, hee), a whole new wardrobe, a facial, mani, pedi, the works! And, I need new plumbing (the constant urge to pee at night is ridiculous). I need curb appeal and back appeal! Sometimes I flush, sometimes I don’t. And something somewhere is always dripping! The upkeep is overwhelming. I am going to need lots and lots of money! I need a stylist, a personal trainer, manicurist, dermatologist, hairstylist, carpenter, painter, lawn maintenance, plumber, psychologist, vacation… Insane asylum. They’re coming to take me away… Hee, hee, ha, ha…. My synthetic hormones and anti-anxiety meds provide some relief. My house not so lucky. What to do? What to do? HGTV, What Not to Wear and a nap. That’s the ticket!
