Sometimes life can take you places you never even dreamed of for yourself. Case in point, the fantastic career of Nour Kazoun. The gifted Lebanese born makeup artist thought she was going down the path of a graphic designer, but as they say, life happens while you are busy making plans.

After graduating from school, Nour set out on the trek we all do, look for a job after college. Having difficulty finding a job in her field, she tried her hand as a makeup artist. She quickly learned that it was a natural fit, having the eye of a graphic designer, she masterfully started creating both classic and intricate creative looks that make women look and feel their natural best.

Nour worked at MAC for many years as a makeup artist and resident trainer teaching other artists the secret to her creative success. She works with a diverse client base and skillfully caters to any skin tone and ethnicity to create looks that compliments her clients.

Today, Nour owns a thriving studio in Chevy Chase called MadeUpArt where she is regularly booked locally and internationally. She is a go to for celebrities visiting our nation’s capital looking for the royal treatment.

So with wedding season coming up, I had to ask this celebrity makeup artist her best tip for brides. Nour's number one tip for brides is to book their hair and makeup right after booking the venue. With everyone getting married around the same time, the best creative teams are booked very early.
