My life is funnier when I'm depressed
By alexistlesa on March 02, 2010
So I'm new, obviously...I have my personal blog and I'm waiting for it to be listed with BlogHer, but in the meantime, here I am. My blog, depressionsandconfessions.com, started as a way for me to reach out to other women with depression, but has evolved into a sort of journal of my personal story about living with the disorder. I've come to realize that balancing the needs of my two young boys, husband, career as a freelance writer, laundry pile, and other various to-do list items is never going to be easy, and I'll probably never be awesome at it. But if I get to write about it, I think I just might be OK.
I love to write, and I hope you'll be able to see that from my blog. My professional writing is mostly boring technical stuff, but at night, during blogging hours...watch out! I post about things like living with depression, shopping as a cure for depression, why taking antidepressants doesn't make you evil, and why being thrown up on is a rite of passage all mothers should be able to enjoy.
My blog, depressionsandconfessions.com, is the perfect way to find clarity about your struggle with depression, or just laugh at someone who's been through it all and doesn't mind sharing with perfect strangers. I love comments and will read every single one! Hope to see you there.
