My So-Called Spoken Life: Vol. 1

Sometimes you get tired of reading, I get it. I'm about to make it a little easier on you.

Listen to "Flying High," my very first of many {I hope} audio posts. (under 4 min.)

I talk to myself. {Oh, right... like you don't}. I talk myself out of things. I talk myself into things. I scold myself. I kick-start myself. So, in that spirit, I decided to record my own blabbering one day. Once I was finished, I thought, "This almost reminds me of Angela Chase's narratives on "My So-Called Life." And, voila! Instant theme.

In this inaugural "My So-Called Spoken Life" post, I describe a fear and advise myself on how to conquer it. My hope is that while I am having a conversation with my own soul, it might touch yours as well. Whether you are graduating, going back to school, changing careers, seeking a promotion, starting a business, running a marathon... maybe, to some degree, we all have the same insecurities.

I have also, with the help of my Charlie and his magic music skills, combined it with a song that, to me, epitomizes breaking free. Coincidentally, the song "Dreams" by The Cranberries, was introduced to me in 1994 by Claire Danes' character. It's like this new adventure of mine was meant. To. BE.

Now if someone will just send Jordan Catalano to my house, I'll be set.

"I mean, have you seen the way Jordan Catalano leans? I just like how he's always leaning. Against stuff. He leans great...."   *giggle*

P.S. Let's meet back here same time next month for another edition, shall we?
