My Start Up Story
By JessaOlson on November 05, 2012
I found this weeks challegen on twitter. Female Young Entrepreneurs has a 5 day challenge with different topic each day. Today is about my start up story.
I started this blog 2 years ago this month. At first it was called, "Through the Storms." It was my story on becoming a reborn Christian. At that time I was trying to change my life. I was into some bad stuff and wanted to document that change.
Shortly after that time I met my now husband. We got engaged and started to plan our wedding. I started a second a blog to document our life together. We were also in the process of moving to OKC so I wanted to show our family the life there. At first I wanted to keep them seperate, but as time continued they meshed together.
I went through a time when I was blogging at all. One of my friends, Falen at Upward not Inward, took me to a blogging event. (If you haven't checked out her blog you should. You will not be disappointed.) I loved the event, because it was a roundtable event. Each table had a "professional blogger" there and talked about a different topic. I learned so much on how to take my blog to the next level.
After that we were both energized and ready to revamp our blog. Since then (March or April 2012) I changed my blog to Life of A Sports Wife. I have changed my design, adding sponsors, learned HTML, and participated more in the blogging community.
So that's my story. I'm excited to see where my blog goes in the future.
