Bio

My name is Kimberly and I am the writer and owner of Saving More Than Me. I blog about life and all of it's adventures. Frequent blog topics include parenting, home and hearth, shopping, technology, green living,  health, deals, social media, psychology, paying it forward, and social issues.

I currently live in Richmond, VA but previously resided in Florida for over 35 years {too hot, too many bugs, and way too many hurricanes}. I am just over the 40 mark {shhhh...} and I grew up in the fabulous decade known as the 1980's. I have a daughter in college and several fur-children. I am passionate about animal welfare, food insecurity, and autoimmune disease awareness. I have two Master's degrees {one in Mental Health Counseling and one in Clinical Psychology}. I previously worked as a mental health therapist for over a decade. I have worked in hospitals, jails, psychiatric facilities, domestic violence centers, private homes and shelters. In 2008, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis {aka the MonSter} and I started blogging shortly thereafter.  My hobbies are reading, writing {not arithmetic}, traveling, shopping, playing with technology, and exploring the great outdoors. I also practice intentional acts of kindness.
