8 Fall 2014 Fashion Trends for Real People

I loved looking at all the fun, Furby coats and satin track pants (for the office, naturally) on the Fall/Winter 2014 runways … but they do leave something to be desired in terms of everyday wearability. Here are the items I'm on the hunt for and am looking to add to my wardrobe this fall, the shapes and details and items that feel fresh and right, and would work for any person, in any wardrobe. ...more

I just think whatever thing I've been using, or food I've been eating, or book I've been reading has been so gosh-danged fabulous I just have to pass it along. My very own version of Oprah's Favorite Things, if you will, but with less hysteria and sobbing. Well, maybe some sobbing---green gifts aren't always appreciated. ...more

Why I Made A Kid-Free List On Twitter (And What Happened When I Did)

Creating my kid-free list seemed innocent enough to me at the time. I tend to swim in a sea that seems primarily comprised of mommybloggers and daddybloggers, and I was suddenly possessed of the urge to find and collect those out there who fit my particular demographic: people over 30 who do not have children. I intended nothing political by or pre-supposing about it. I simply had the very human desire to see myself reflected out in the world. ...more
