Divorce Sucks!

Divorce Sucks!  I think that the title pretty much says it all.  Many of you have probably been here before.  Mine has only just begun.  I realized that our marriage was broken and there was just no fixing it.  I didn't want to give up, I felt like I tried and I tried, including marriage counseling.  I never thought I would be the one getting a divorce, but I don't think any of us think that as we are walking down the aisle to the the alter. ...more

What I know now, but didn't then, is this: it's not enough for a couple to share sizzling chemistry, or a passion for growing heirloom tomatoes, or simply the determination that this one is The One, dammit. Other values must match up—values that never seem to matter when you've just taken up residence in the love shack. ...more

I Would Love to Be a Housewife. There, I've Said It.

Why do I feel so guilty and so old-fashioned admitting that my week as a stay-at-home wife was awesome? I felt healthy. I was able to cook my own meals, do yoga while I watched reality TV, go outside to garden, ride my bike to the store, and take dance class. I felt relaxed. The Lifecycle of a Blogger

1. Why not become a blogger, right? Why not?! I have stories to tell. I have opinions. I have important things to tell the world. I know I’m not going to become the next Dooce or anything (but maybe I’ll be the next Amalah?). This is going to be good. I’ll start with a 2500-word introduction to my life story, just the self-involved parts. ...more
