I'm Sick of Apologizing for My C-section

Did you know that April is Cesarean Awareness month? I didn’t. I didn’t even know such a thing existed. A little over two years ago I had a scheduled C-section. When I found out that my primary method of delivering Els was by C-section I was upset. I cried and felt like a failure. My body in my eyes was failing me and a C-section was the worst thing possible. I was naive and stupid for thinking that way. I Say We're Adopting, You Say...

Last week, I went over to my friend Katie's house to swim in her pool. I came in, dropped my bags and burst into tears, right there in her living room, wearing a swimsuit. The reason? I had just been at the school subbing that morning, and a woman who I'm sure is very nice in real life had said some terrible things to me about adoption. I do not understand why this is.
