BlogHer Reads "The Hobbit": The End of the Journey

Hip, hip hooray! It's Hobbit day! We have finished our BlogHer read-along and it's release day for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. So much Middle-Earth goodness at once! In the final section of The Hobbit we see the end of Smaug. I almost felt a bit bad for Smaug. He wasn't a very nice dragon, but he also didn't strike me as a very smart dragon. In my opinion, Gollum came closer to outsmarting Bilbo than Smaug ever did.
