I'm A F**king Failure At Life

Tonight as I sit on my couch I feel the stench of self loathing creep over me. I think about how me and my husband fought for a good part of the evening, I think about how my kids refuse to eat anything that isn't cheesy noodles or ketchup, and how I'm just so f**king tired all the time but I still never seem to get anything done. My "To Do" list looms dramatically over my head taunting me....more

The Story of My Birth Trauma

It was a beautiful Fall day in 2011 when my “fake” labour finally turned into real labour. I was exhausted, I was excited and I was completely unprepared for what happened next. It was probably about the third or fourth trip to the midwives office when they finally said, your 3-4 cm lets go to the hospital. Memoirs of a Reformed Control Freak

I just looked at my almost 11 month old son and he has food in his hair, he has more food on his sleeper and some dried up milk on his face and his diaper probably needed to be changed about an hour ago. He smiled at me and went back to playing and I continued on writing this blog post. Now I can tell you that when my daughter was born 3 years ago that this realization would have resulted in an immediate bath time where she would have been scrubbed clean and then had a fresh diaper and fresh cloths. Who am I kidding; this scenario would have never happened 3 years ago....more
