New Interior Design Frontier? School Lockers

This year my 4th graders got lockers. If you have kids who don’t have lockers yet, you know this is a really big deal. Thanks to Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, my kids have spent hundreds (thousands?) of hours watching good-looking teens and their fascinating lives unfold against a backdrop of these mysterious, stacked metal cubicles. They’re not just ‘lockers,’ they’re totems of maturity. A sign that your fascinating life is about to begin! Livi was so excited. “I can’t wait to decorate it!” “You mean pick out a combination lock? Wiping the Habit (Or: Saving the Rain Forest One Butt at a Time)

My family has a "Pack A Day" habit. Not cigarettes. Toilet paper. We go through it like...well I'd say toilet paper, but that's obvious. And redundant. I don't know how we do it...use so much toilet paper I mean. I don't believe that collectively we go to the bathroom anymore than normal people. I mean, Livi does drink a lot of juice... "Mommy Street Cred" By Sarah Maizes

"As the mother of a child with Autism..."I don't have anything else to add to that, but I got your attention didn't I? Don't feel like a sucker. You're not the only one.It has come to my attention that whenever I say "As the mother of a child with autism..." people instantly pay attention. They presume I'm wise and sagely, and they'll take virtually anything I say as gospel. It's quite fabulous really....more
