Ethical Dilemma: Criminal Shopping?

Well, you should try it. No one ever has to know. A bunch of us do it every once in a while. And if you don't get too greedy, no one ever has to know. Is it wrong? Well, in the pure sense, sure -- but it isn't right that we have to work these insane hours either, and other jobs are not so easy to find these days. Besides, everyone hedges their expense reports somehow. ...more

Spanking and Criminal Behavior

It saddened and concerned me when I saw that nearly 109,000 people (at the time of this writing) on Facebook had "liked" the following statement: "I'd rather go to jail for spanking my kids than for them to go because I didn't." - Likey Does that mean spanked kids *never* go to jail? A Homeschool Mom with Serious Doubts

Okay, I'm going to admit something here that you will never catch me admitting in my real life. Come mid-August, I will start homeschooling all three of my sons. My boys are 9, 7 and soon to be 4 years old.  I will be teaching 5th and 3rd grades and Kindergarten. Each will have a separate curriculum because the materials that work best for the boys do not permit teaching the same material to two children at once.  And I haven't got the slightest clue how I'm going to teach all three and make sure each one is getting enough attention.

Holiday baking

I don't know what it is about the holidays but they make me want to bake. This can be problematic because I don't particularly like to eat sweets. Well, it was more problematic when I worked at home and lived alone. Now both the fake husband and I can see the fruits of my labours off to our respective offices. What I make each year generally changes with two exceptions - I must make Denise's mint sugar cookies and I must make chocolate peanut butter balls.I'm debating whether or not to make plum pudding this year.
