ELF Essential Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer | Review & Swatches

I've been using the ELF Essential Eyelid Primer ($2.00) for yearrrs now, but I only started using their other shade variations this year. Champagne is a cool taupe with subtle shimmer to it, it keeps a cooler tone to the eye shadows applied on top of it. Golden is a metallic gold, and it definitely shows through any shadow you put on top, it's pretty fun to layer other shimmers on top of for a golden hue ....more

ELF Studio HD Mattifying Balm | Review

The ELF Studio HD Mattifying Balm ($6.00) is designed to minimize pore appearance, mattify skin finish, control oil shine, while including Vitamin E, Jojoba, Almond and Grape to nourish the skin - and can be used before or after makeup application. I've tried a couple similar balms from Youngblood and Jouer, and after using the ELF Mattifying Balm for a good year or so since it released, I think I've come to the conclusion that these types of balms just don't work for me. This balm is clear when applied, it has a smooth velvety texture that smooths over the skin effortlessly.I have dry skin, with oily tendencies, but I found that every time I applied this balm before my makeup application, my foundation and concealer wouldn't stay put on my skin ....more

ELF Studio Contour Palette | Review & Swatches

Well, I'm not one to collect all the contour palettes that have been released within the past year or so, but I did jump on the ELF Studio Contour Palette ($6), which features four shades to highlight and contour the face. I do own the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, so I might be comparing the ELF Contour Palette a little bit in quality and packaging, just because it is the only other contouring product I have experienced. The ELF Studio Contour Palette is housed in the same square palette as their Blush Palettes...more

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop | Swatches

I'm a BIG fan of Jaclyn Hill on YouTube, I've only been following her for about a year or so, but I've already binge-watched all her videos and I totally fell in love with her true passion for cosmetics. I love that she not only shares her favorite products, demonstrating them in makeup tutorials and reviews, but she also goes out of her way to try new things on her own time - as in, she's not just working on products sent to her. Before I gush any more about her ;) I also want to point out that Becca Cosmetics is a high end brand that I have grown to admire, ever since I watched the Pixiwoo sisters rave about their products years ago ....more
