"Rah, I Happy."

Galen is 3 years old. He doesn't know how to tell me that he's hungry. He doesn't know how to tell me what on his body hurts. He doesn't know how to tell me that he's sick.But, this week, he has started to tell me that he's Happy. And I cry happy tears EVERY TIME."Galen, are you Happy?" Self Loathing is not a wonderful parenting skill, but I've got it down.

Last week was a breakthrough for my family. I wasn't the only one who noticed that Galen was not communicating like a normal 3-year-old, and I didn't feel alone.This week? I'm treating him different.
