Valentine's Printable Banner...

Here's a Valentine's craft I shared over at HowDoesShe.com:After the Christmas decor comes down and I've finished sweeping the red and green glitter - I like to get my house back in order. It always feels like Valentine's sneaks up on me and it seems I'm never quite ready to deck the house out again in holiday decor. Don't get me wrong - I love to decorate for the holidays, but some holidays I'm go for simple and Valentine's is one of them ....more

Project Week...

My dad is in town for what has become his annual spring visit - lending his helping hand in moving our projects forward (because that's what makes sense when you're as pregnant as I am!). Today's project: wrapping the patio posts. We have traditional turned posts that once complimented the victorian style of the house ....more

Our neighbor drives two hours north - lets his truck accumulate snow during the week and drives back down on the weekends. What's left in the bed of his truck becomes a snow wonderland for the kids ....more

The darkest night will end...

There's a family in our area who lost their little girl in an accident last week and ended up having a baby the next morning. And although I don't know them personally, (Steve knows of them and we have many mutual friends) my heart aches for them. I've found myself thinking of this family many times in the last couple days and they've been in our prayers as a family ....more

Weekend within reach...

Our household is letting out a sigh of relief that the weekend is within reach. Some weeks are more taxing than others and we've reached our limit this week. This may be the first Saturday in weeks that we're not breaking our backs working on the landscape overhaul but we're ready for a break ....more
