What If You Had to Choose Between Health Care or Living Near Your Child?

Maybe I'm being a bit dramatic.  I have been living with scleroderma for 20 years nowand was  it really necessary I move 87.5 miles from my son?  Well, I share custody of my son with his dad, so taking him with me was not an option.  So I had to choose between commuting sometimes two hours one-way, to get VA Healthcare.  Yes, there is a VA medical facility in Murrieta, California, but they do not have the medical staff to handle my complicated diagnoses of scleroderma and sarcoidosis.  ...more
