Gluten Free Blueberry Crisp

There isn't much to say about this crisp other than YUM! I've had many crisps in the past and the whole concept is that they are lighter and less caloric than cobblers and pies....so why is there still a stick of butter and nearly a cup of sugar added to these crisps? Exactly. But not this one! I wasn't joking when I said it's so healthy you can eat it for breakfast. The ingredients are nourishing to give you fuel for the day or to have as a treat after dinner! Simple ingredients, one dish and voila! Ours lasted for 1 day...see if you can make it last!...more

(Not so healthy) 1 Hour Cinnamon Rolls

Let me begin by saying--this recipe goes against all that I stand for. Let me also say, I like to enjoy life. A year or two ago, these cinnamon rolls would not have even made it near my mouth. Now, I've gained quite a new perspective on eating and self control. If you follow my other blog, you understand where I'm coming from. When you're married, it's not always all about your likes, you can't be as picky and you have to meet in the middle a lot of the time....more

Healthy White Shredded Chicken Enchiladas

White girl Lebanese Cabbage Rolls

Shoot...I could get in big trouble posting these. Mostly because my cooking will never be like the authenticity of my husband's family. But hey, I'm trying!! I was introduced to lebanese food only a few years ago after my husband and I were dating. When I first had it, I hated it. All the smells and the flavors were veeery strong to say the least. However, now, I crave it. WHAT?! Yeah...Christmas only comes once a year but we need to do this more than one time a year. I literally wait expectantly for weeks leading up to Christmas for these dishes. UHH-MAZ-ING....more

Turkey Chili with a twist

Even when it's 85+ outside, I am still making this recipe. Comfort food is comfort food and it has no season. At least to me. This Turkey Chili recipe is modified from an online recipe I found. Although Chili isn't the worst thing you can eat, you can make it bad. I see you adding them 20 saltines and pounds of shredded cheddar. Bet you wont even need them with this recipe! Turkey Chili ...more

Nourishing Strawberry Waffles with Homemade Strawberry Sauce

As much as I would love to daintily wake up every morning and serve my husband these waffles hot on a tray with flowers and coffee. Lets be real--we never stop. Most mornings consist of running around chasing dogs, eating a protein bar and maybe, just maybe, pouring a bowl of cereal before we're out the door with a to-go cup of coffee. However, when we do want to have a special morning, maybe a quiet Saturday morning or a day off for the both of us, this is one of our favorite go-to's. I love making these waffles because they are filling without the guilt....more
