I Am Thinking...

...About not re-posting on BlogHer anymore.  I'm not 100% sure that I am going to stop, but right now, it's a lot of work, and the outcome isn't really worth it.  Though I love the BlogHer community, it might be that I have to stick to blogging on my actual blog. I searched through Twitter for one of my entries, and found that a ton of people were linking to my BlogHer posts as if they had written them.  It was very, very disheartening.  It also made me feel as if my writing and images were less protected somehow....more

Flo-Ridah, Prt. 2

Here's the rest of our trip to Florida! Enjoy! The morning after Disney World, before heading back, we checked out the rad pool the hotel had. Too bad that water was as cold as a motherlover!...more

Flo-Ridah, Prt. 1

I have a confession to make. I kind of hate Florida. I know, I know. I'm supposed to love it. It's warm, and Chicago is cold. It's sunny, Chicago is gray. It's where A.P. is from. Still, I hate it. I loathe going there, and I hate spending the money traveling to the same place over and over again. Nevertheless, we go. We have to. All of A.P.'s family still lives there, and if we want to see them, then go to Florida we must....more

I've been debating a lot over whether or not to post this. And when I say a lot, I'm not exaggerating. I originally wrote this post in November. That's a long time to sit on a post. The thing is, last week this situation sort of imploded. It felt...personal. More personal than before. So I debated some more, and then today, I decided to post it. Hopefully some of you can relate and will understand both my sadness at having to and strong need to finally post this entry....more

Guest Blogger: Not a Bride Yet

Yesterday, you read a post from one of my very first readers. Today, I'd like to introduce you to the other of my very first readers, Mimi, from Not a Bride Yet. Mimi was married almost two years ago (goes by so fast!), and since then she's been busy with a new project: her baby boy, Henry. I was excited when she, too, agreed to write a post here about the hectic life of a new mom....more

Once again, we have a guest blogger today, Kiara King, who blogs in two places now: Henry Reigns (her former wedding planning blog) and her newest design inspiration blog titled simply, Kiara King. Kiara is beautiful (what I wouldn't kill for gorgeous, red hair like that!) and had a beautiful wedding last fall....more

Guest Blogger: Crabs & Coconut (plus a little shrimp)

When I first started blogging, I had two readers. They appeared out of nowhere, and I was so happy to have them. We sort of became a little threesome. We commented on each others' blogs, kept up with what we were doing, and basically stalked each other. One day, I was heartbroken when I went to one of the blogs, Crabs & Coconuts, and saw that Sommer, the blogger, had written a post saying that she and her fiance were calling off their wedding, and saying she was going to take down the blog....more
