Flip It Stage It : Ikea Shelf Turns Glam Wardrobe

In our last home there was a less than desirable amount of closet space. It worked when it was just the two of us, but when our daughter came along we desperately needed closet space. Purchasing the white BILLY bookcases with doors saved us. It gave us the extra storage we needed and prevented us from having to move. I always meant to glam the cabinets up with gold pulls or mirrors, but never got around to it. Looking at an article on Domino.com made me think shoulda coulda woulda. Jenny Komedea shows us a great way to turn an IKEA cabinet into a beautiful wardrobe and vanity....more

Why I love Target

I love Target. Who doesn't ? As a former Minnesota girl it's my duty to represent this Minneapolis born company. But...that is not the full reason for my love of this company. It's that I don't have to sacrifice style to get something at an affordable price. Target has figured this out. I am their "target" market. Where else can I pick out a stylish top for myself, get diapers and bananas all at the same place? Where else can I find this Nate Berkus lamp? This lamp just says it all for me.What are your thoughts on Target? ...more

D.I.Y Tuesday :: Gold Dipped Feathers

There are several different applications for feathers when accessorizing your home. You can frame them as interesting art or place them in an apothecary jar. I also love using feathers as place settings for a Thanksgiving table by placing them on the plate with a name card. Oh... and my favorite is to pin them onto string creating feather garland. To create this d.i.y simply purchase feathers at your local craft supply store. Purchase gold spray paint and spray the tips of the feather. Viola you just created a quick and easy accent for your home. Happy feathering!Xo, Annie...more

Inspired Space :: Feeling Artsy

So...I moved to California. I just emptied the last box this morning...wahoo! I have been moving our existing art around from wall to wall trying to make it work. Which most of it does...that's the great thing about art. My mother gave me five pieces that belonged to my grandmother as a house warming gift. Bless her heart that is oh so special to me. Even after all of that my walls are still looking bare. I'm not handling it well and feel like I will go crazy if I don't fill the walls immediately....more
