The Roach Diet: Or "How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Dirt"

I think I’ve discovered the perfect diet: Cockroaches. (No no no…. You don’t eat them. You see them.) Yesterday, having finally wrenched myself away from the computer to eat, I walked into the kitchen and saw three big, fat roaches scurry away. And some lil ‘uns too. I guess it was a family outing. Dear retailers...

This has to stop. Frankly, it's getting embarrassing for everyone involved. Look, you know, deep in your hearts, that the relationship is over. That you and consumers haven't really been in sync for awhile now. They're pulling away, cutting back. You barely see them anymore. And when they are there, they don't stay long or spend much. I feel as though I am beating a dead horse -- apologies to PETA -- but I just can't over how many people in this country act like truculent teens. When you confront a teen about a mistake, chances are that they'll apologize in a half-hearted way (if they bother at all). Then they want you to clean it up for them.   Okay, well, let me clarify: Every blog is unique, which is one reason the Internet is both wonderful and, at times, gives me a headache!   That said, like many PF bloggers I have debt: We're paying down my husband's student loan ($1230 left, baby!) and some credit card debt -- mostly from just trying to make ends meet, not being quite frugal enough, and various medical costs.    ...more
