Hump day comes early this week! What a relief. This week, our company is only working three days. We will be off for Thanksgiving, and for the full three-day weekend afterwards. You read that correctly: I will have a four day vacation. What ever will I do with myself?...more

rolling with the punches...

I'm thirty-one years old, and I finally feel like a real grown-up. It felt nice to say that! All kidding aside, though: this is monumental. I had a three-part post ready to publish, and some of it was accidentally deleted and could not be recovered. It happened in the blink of an eye, and it didn't even dawn on me at first that my work was lost. I didn't utter one curse word. I stared at the computer screen for ten minutes, dumbfounded. But I didn't get angry, or lose my temper, or cry in frustration....more

non stop, ya'll!

Have you ever had one of those weeks where you have felt absolutely, totally, undeniably overstimulated? Yeah. Well. This has been one of those weeks.I have this romantic vision of cuddling up next to Seth every night to read him a bedtime story, and he falls asleep to the rise and fall of my voice. Ha. This week, he has been brought home to me in the evenings so exhausted that he is veritably foaming at the mouth. I think he is still confused by the Daylight Savings Time change that happened last week, and it hasn't helped that he has also had a little cold bug....more
