Will the real {insert name here} please stand up?

Cameron Diaz gave me an "ah-ha" moment today. Trust me. No one is more shocked. I was listening to last week’s Real Time with Bill Maher podcast and already pleasantly surprised when BAM! She said something so deep, so enlightening that I almost had to pull over. She was speaking about how the public can love you one moment and hate you the next... "It's like a relationship," Diaz claimed, "they just want you to stay there because they've arranged it somewhere in their head to identify who they are by liking who you are..." ...more

A Decade of Dreams Coming True

In an article in Time Magazine last week, Andy Serwer labeled the past ten years the "decade of broken dreams." What began with 9/11 and ended with an economic depression will go down in history as "the decade from hell." Serwer lists (in long-winded detail) every justification for this dour name, including his main argument. I Think Tonight I'll Take the Long Way...

"there's a song that they sing when they take to the highway..." Music is such a big part of my life, and my iPod playlist is always a reflection of my mood... On a normal day I usually just pick my "Favs" which encompasses everything I love... When I'm in a particularly fabulous mood, I click over to my "No Boys Allowed" mix which contains a large quantity of "sing-at-the-top-of-my-lungs" chick songs (which I appropriately sing at the top of my lungs).
