Tom Ford Stavros Lipstick: Swatches and Comparisons

Some time ago, Tom Ford released their Lips & Boys lipstick collection consisting of unique colors named after men. This collection received a lot of attention in the beauty community because of the uniqueness of the shades, specially considering it is a luxury brand and those tend to be more conservative. You can find grey, frosts, metallics, oranges, and magentas as well as regular colors such as nudes, pinks, and reds ....more

Ethereal Untitled: Face Canvas Series

Hi, everyone! I hope your weekend has been productive and/or fun so far. Today's post is the second installment of my Face Canvas series which I started this month on January 7th ....more

Ghoulish Bae: Makeup Look

Blue Frosty 90's Makeup Look

There are many makeup trends that have stayed in the nineties (with good reason) such as scary thin sperm-shaped eyebrows, frosty lips, and icy blue eyeshadow. Ironically, I'm channeling the latter today. This makeup was done somewhat ironically for a 90's party but I ended up really liking it ....more

Mine At Last: Kat Von D Lolita Lipstick

As you've probably seen on social media and on many blogs, the craze for Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita ($20) shows no signs of dying out. I knew I wanted it since I saw how good it seems to look on pretty much anyone but after seeing it on a friend in person, the "want" became more of a "need." I know now there are two versions, I and II, with one being more orange than the other. I don't have the peachier version of Lolita but it looks so pretty that I wouldn't mind owning it ....more

Kitschy Faerie: Makeup Look

I just noticed that this is the second pink makeup look I've posted in a row, it seems I am in a pink kick this year. I discovered I really love how a light eyeshadow color looks against jet black eyeliner. The problem with this pairing is that the contrast makes any imperfections in your eyeliner become extremely obvious so you must be really careful ....more

Farnese Early Morning: Face Canvas Series

I am currently working on queuing some blog posts for 2016 so I don't know if this post will go up before or after I have already started this series on Instagram so I will explain it anyway. Ever since I started this blog I have stressed the importance of makeup as a form of self expression and personality. I used to have this "weekly" series called Try It Out Thursday were I tried some "unconventional" colors, products or techniques ....more

Face of the Day: Stavros

Things have been pretty quiet around here. This is my first post of 2016 (I think this is the first time I've had to write the date this year and, of course, I accidentally wrote 2015) so I want to wish you a happy New Year. I hope this year has gone well so far and if it hasn't, don't worry, there is more than enough time to turn things around ....more

Updated Foundation Routine: Winter

Besides the fact that my skin has been a tad drier, I've had to change my face routine because I ran out of my favorite foundation in the world (NARS Sheer Glow) and I'm also running low on my everyday face powder (MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural). Sheer Glow retails for around $45 (without a pump) and considering I have other foundations in my stash (as well as a tiny budget for new makeup), I've had to postpone repurchasing Sheer Glow indefinitely. Nothing works as well for me as Sheer Glow, but I have other nice foundations that do the job very well ....more
