Well, OK, there were some "life-like" dolls being sold on E-Bay, but that was just too creepy for me.Looking carefully at my life, I have determined I need 3 clones--all endowed with MY standards, MY knowledge, MY way of doing everything. I definitely don't want any "Multiplicity"-type accidents happening. Each clone must be my perfect replica, and fully interchangeable....more

In Defense Of The Quiet Child

Well, maybe it's not as big as all that, but it should make you think. Why do teachers make shy children speak in front of the class? Oh, it sounds like a flip question, but it isn't... I'm serious!! What good comes from this barbaric practice? If you were a shy child, did your evil teacher's enjoyment of your discomfort actually help you conquer your shyness?...more

Mom's Belgian Endive aka Witlof

You know what Belgian Endive are:  you see the fresh leaves in a salad, or used as a base for an hors d'oevres like crab salad. Well, foodies, take note! Drowning in a Sea of Ground Meat
