Seeing breast tissue in the clouds

It's a cloudy Saturday. I am sitting in my car at the ball field while my son practices. As I look out my moon roof at the clouds I think of breast tissue. Yes, breast tissue. I have never in my life spent as much time thinking of breast tissue as I have the past 4 days. It all started with a lump. I found a lump four days ago. It happened to be the day of my annual ob/gyn visit. I'm quite lucky becaue that way I didn't panic. He felt the lump as well before I mentioned it to him....more


Let me start off by saying, I have a strong work ethic. Just because I am not employed "outside of the home" does not mean other wise. In fact it is one of the reasons I don't work. When working I feel an incredible sense of responsibility to my coworkers, students and employers. An unexpected turn

How I ended up in the world of "stay at home mom"-dom is slightly different than most of my friends. I taught in a school I loved after my first child was born. After the birth of my second child I did my first stint in the world of SAHM. After four very fulfilling years I was able go back to teach at my children's school. It could not have been more ideal. However, my daughter has a chronic illness that sometimes leads to long hospital stays. During the 2008-2009 school year the hospital stays became more frequent and my guilt of trying to be in two places at once did too....more
