The official badge for November.

NaBloPoMo 2011

<p><a href="http://www.nablopomo.com"><img src="http://www.blogher.com/files/NaBloPoMo-300x250.jpg" alt="NaBloPoMo 2011" height="167" width="200"></a></p>

Copy the code and add it to an HTML widget block on your sidebar or right-click or ctrl-click on the image you want and save it to your desktop, then upload it onto your own blog. Linking back to http://www.nablopomo.com would be nice, too!

As always, if you've made your own badges and you want to share them, paste them into a comment below or leave the URL where we can find them.

Additionally, there is now a badge for those who have completed the 30 days of blogging:

NaBloPoMo 2011

Melissa writes Stirrup Queens and Lost and Found. Her novel about blogging is Life from Scratch.

Is there a final "I did it!" badge like there have been in past years for those of us who made it to the end and posted every day?

We're working on it. I'll upload it here when it is finished.

I started out November with no electricity. So I think this year I'll spend the time updating my blog. Are there any badges for November 2010 and 2009 available? Yes, it's that out of date!

They'll always be on this page starting tonight, you can access them from the archive post (http://www.blogher.com/nablopomo-november-2011-wri..., and they're tweeted nightly at @BlogHerBlogging.

Melissa Ford Just clicked on the link on 11/1/11 @ 8:07am and I'm getting a 404 landing page. Same with all of the links on this page: http://www.blogher.com/november-nablopomo-comes-pr... I really would like to sign up for the newsletter. Any suggestions?

Tamis_Ramblings

It looks like the link above is just pulling in an extra symbol -- a closed parenthesis. If you erase that, it works. All the links on the other page work for me too. Not sure how you're getting a 404 with them. Why don't you email me and I can walk you through getting signed up for the newsletter: melissa.ford@blogher.com

Tamis_RamblingsMelissa Ford The newsletter link was not functioning properly last night. It is, however, working today. Here's the newsletter sign up link again http://www.blogher.com/sign-bloghers-email-newslet...

Just signed up - very exciting, although not sure what I've got myself in for...!

I can't get the widget to post on my blog either. I even tried the idea of the sample post. It shows on the post, but not the side bar widget that says it's for text/HTML. Suggestions?

Not_Supermom 9 pts

Just signed up... Looking forward to it!

Is there no longer going to be a year posted in the badge?

rebecca43c 5 pts

Looking forward to this this year!! I can't wait.

Oddyssey 7 pts

Ok, this is my first attempt at making a badge for this. Hope you all like it.

Oddyssey I like your badge!

I'm totally bamboozled about how to add this badge. If I want to add it as an "image" widget it asks me for a URL, but of course it's just a file on my desktop and doesn't have a URL. If I want to add it as a "text or html" widget that doesn't work either, as it's an image not HTML.

I was able to add the other NaBloPoMo badge no problem but this one has me stumped. What am I missing?

MommaJenHen 5 pts

Right click over the image and select "View Image Info". There is a line labeled "Location". Copy the http://..... that is listed there and paste that in the URL line. :) Hope that helps!

MommaJenHen 5 pts

You know what? That didn't even work out for me this time. Sigh.

Denise 381 pts moderator

TortoiseMum Give me just two seconds and I'll expose the code that you would copy/paste into an html box.

AberrantCrochet 5 pts

Might depend on your platform, but here's what I do in case it helps you. The photo has to be uploaded to your blog or somewhere else in order to be used in the widget. You can do this from something already loaded in your gallery, or something you need to upload from your computer.

I use Wordpress and to add photos I want to use in my side bar, I choose the text/html widget, not the one for images. Don't panic, here's how: First I create a draft post to upload the photo I want to use, tweak the size data and links, then insert it into my draft post. Use the new draft post as a working space of sorts to get the image the way you want it. Put a border with it, add a caption, whatever. Get it looking the way you want, aligned the way you want (right, left, center, etc.).

Once it's inserted into my post and the way I want it, then I click on the html view of my draft, copy the whole string of code info generated by the insert and then go back to the widget and paste that into the text/html widget for my sidebar. If you look at my site, you'll see how I have mine displayed. My side bar is full of photos. I use a lot of html widgets to make everything line up the way I want, add text in strategic places, etc..

You can also create a new post, insert the image, publish the post and then make that post a sticky that stays at the top of your page.

Hope that helps!
