Started off today in a pretty bad way. I'm going to write it here so I can be accountable for it. I ate 3 chikn minis from chik-fil-a this morning for breakfast with some unsweetened ice tea. I know, I know... bad Nancy, but I just had this craving. So during my morning errand runs I stopped by the Dwarf house and got my chicken on. For anyone wondering that was 260 calories, 6 grams of sugar, and about 30% of the recommended intake of salt. To make things worse when I went for my unsweetened tea refill I was given sweet tea instead. I drank about half on the way home because I was thirsty. A full cup of the sweet stuff is 130 calories and whopping 33g of sugar. Yikes.

 

I then spent about 30 minutes walking around the Barnes & Noble, followed by a quick dash into the Utla and the Best Buy. I purchased a new workout DVD and the Wii Fit Plus game. I love wii fit and I'd been eying the upgrade for a while. I spent the last of my Christmas money on that.

 

Took the new purchases home and popped in the Bollywood Dance Workout DVD (with Hemalayaa). The disk contained one 56 minute workout which I did from start to finish. Found that it got my heart pumping, but wasn't particularly difficult. The dances took and little more coordination than I was used to, but I was able to get every step (minus 1) on the first go through. I felt like I needed a bit more of a workout after the dance workout so I popped in Wii Fit Plus. Played a few of the games, checked out some of the new customizable workout routines and new games. I failed miserably at the new games, in case anyone is wondering. Played the Juggling game about 5 or 6 times and still only managed one pathetic star. My mii tends to roll off the side of the stage and drop her juggling balls a lot. Balance games have my worst scores.

 

Wii Fit Plus also has a new option to input your waist size every day. After searching for a good 15 minutes I managed to locate a tape measure and was a bit disappointed. I've gained 1 inch around from the last time I checked (pre-holidays). Majorly lame. My waist had been a constant size for the past year, so I guess back to more ab work.

 

After workout I was feeling a little lazy and opted for organic publix O's and Almond milk. I'm going to try and be better with my other meals today. I've got some raw sauerkraut in the fridge and plenty of veggies. I'm hoping to make myself a streamed brussle, kraut and pepper dressing salad for afternoon lunch. I will also admit that I've been very bad about adding in my forth meal. Life has this way of getting in between me and my fitness plans.

Total workout time: >1 hour

Weight: up 2.4 pounds from two weeks ago (according to wii fit, but I doubt the validity of a measurement from a machine that's sitting on carpet.)

Waist: up 1 inch from three months ago.

calories before 3pm: approx 550
