I love to read. I’m a newlywed. I get cranky when I need a snack. I
love road trips. NYC and Baltimore are my favorite cities. I overthink
nearly everything. I fight verbosity daily. I’m addicted to academia.
I love my alone time but also love time with my friends. I could never
own too many pairs of Mary Janes. I have an unnatural attachment to my
laptop. I’m not a fan of big surprises, but I do love little ones. I
start too many sentences with the first person pronoun.

Boomers & Beyond is dedicated to issues of concern to over-50 generations... which is, when you think about it, just about everything.

I wrote about things like brain fitness, housing choices, healthcare, health and fitness... and current events....more
Gender inequality occurs everywhere my readers are and I'd write about it where I see it, be it in the workplace, the classroom, or the doctor's office. I'm experiencing the same things they are and I'd like to provide not only information about local and global women's issues but a community for local women to share their experiences....more
The title of this blog - Bread Not Stones - comes from the end of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew. After encouraging his audience to seek and they shall find, knock and the door shall be opened, he reminds them that God knows what they need even before they ask for it. He uses the metaphor of a parent's instinctual understanding of her child's needs to explain how God cares for us....more
I was emotionally, verbally and sexually abused by the man I believed was my father from the time I was a little girl until I was 19 years old. I hope that by sharing my own experiences of child sexual abuse and my own healing process, I can hold a torch to lighten the path of other victims and survivors....more
