Welcome to Better with Veggies! I’m a long-time food enthusiast who recently transitioned to a plant-based diet. Better With Veggies is my way of sharing my love of food and living an active life with others. When I’m not eating, you can often find me outdoors running or biking. I’m a E-Commerce Manager by day and a USATF certified coach (focusing on running) for fun. I’m also a loyal UGA Bulldogs football fan!

This blog serves to share personal experience in dealing with
Perinatal Mood Disorders as well as providing research and information
related to pregnancy and the postpartum period. PPMDs are the most
common complication of childbirth and are experienced by 1 of every 8
women who give birth (and by some fathers and adoptive parents, as
well). Expectant mothers should be treated with care and respect and
realistic expectations of life after having a new baby should be
encouraged in families.
The goal of Beyond Prenatals is to encourage and empower women to learn
more about nutrition during the preconception period, pregnancy, and
early childhood. I am a registered dietitian (RD) with a Master's
Degree in Public Health. My nutrition specialties include perinatal
nutrition, pediatric nutrition, and food allergies.
