A 2010 new year's resolution to become an "Ideal Homemaker" by organizing, cleaning, and completing my oh so many unfinished projects around the house!
1. I have to work on cleaning, organizing, or finishing something every day of 2010 with the exception of Saturday (since that's the day we get ready for Sunday), Sunday (it's a commandment not to work on Sunday Dueteronomy 5:12-15), holidays, and vacations.2. I make art & craft out of paper, fabric, and various ephemera. I also write poetry, prose, and various fiction hybrids. I'm interested in green design, eco-lifestyle, interdisciplinary artwork, junk shops, flea markets, and more generally that space "between". My blog was created to document my thoughts on art, craft, poems and odds & ends of the everyday.
We're Ashley & Stephen – a 20-something twosome living in Upstate NY. Sadly, we're rarely home when the sun is up. And when we are, we're depleted, likely watching reruns of Glee on Hulu. Regardless, we consider ourselves homemakers. Yes. Both of us. Our tools of choice may be different (I prefer a whisk & paintbrush, Stephen prefers a sawsall & beer tap), but our goal is the same: To make the most out of our 60+-year-old house, to cook and eat great (veggie/vegan) food, and to find joy in all things nesting....more
