I am a self-taught artist & crafter. Actually, I'm a trained scientist who happens to be a little artistic. I also enjoy reading, writing, cooking, collecting things; I love anything handmade or with a bit of history. I relish trying new things, especially food & different art forms. My blog is where I put it all together, as a sort of collection of my life. An online diary where I can keep track of the years as they fly by....more
This blog is for all those who still don’t know what they want to be when they grow up and those that dream to be something different…something more. It’s about trying new things and sharing the experience. It’s a place for our photos and art to live and be seen by the world. It’s for reminiscing and bragging and challenging your peers. It looks to the future by examining the past. It is forgiving and liberating; often funny and inspiring. It’s everything under the umbrella.
A passion for life, love, faith, exploring art through textiles - this
is what I discovered after my struggle with post-natal depression - a
zest for life and people, that I had never felt before. Unbecoming lily
is my place to document this growth as a child of God, woman, a wife, a

and writing and an increased awareness of depression.

I am a 32 year old SAHM. I never intended to be one, but I didn't plan
on being a military wife, either, and look how that turned out! I spent
the majority of my life moving around the boroughs and suburbs of New
York City, and after college I worked a big bad corporate job.
Eventually I decided that life wasn't quite for me; I joined the Navy.
I didn't last long, but I did meet my hubby there. I enjoy reading,
writing, and taking pictures. But my favorite thing to do is spend time
with my lovely family--my husband, my daughter, and the furry brothers.
A look at my life, through the eyes of me. Exploring lifes challenges and joys, and finding a way to make it all cohesive. A look at my journey into weight loss, spiritual enlightenment, and everything in between.
