In New York City? Learn Sous Vide Cooking Techniques at Zabar!

If you've been wanting to stretch your cooking muscles, try a French cooking technique, or two, but are nervous about doing it at home, you've got to come to these classes that will be held at Zabar's (2245 Broadway), tomorrow and Saturday.

Barbara Westfield is presiding over two Sous Vide (water cooking)classes: Friday, learn how to make Succulent SousVide Salmon 3 Ways, Saturday, learn to create Savory SousVide Pulled Pork BBQ. Both classes run from 2pm - 4pm.

It's a cooking technique pioneered by Chef Georges Pralus at the world famousTrosgros restaurant in the 70s.  Sous Vide means "under vacuum" in French.   You've more than likely seen it used in The Iron Chef or another cookng show. A chef will use a water oven and creat the most succulent meals!

 SousVide Supreme, the pioneer of adapting sous vide cooking specifically for the home with the world’s first at-home water oven, will be the super cool tool you'll be using a the classes at Zabar's.
