I have 3 boys 19, 8 and 6.  So for almost 20 years I have been reading and watching everything about kids and family, and you know what?  The more info and talking about things has made us into Drama Queens, Hypocondriacts, Self made Doctors, Teachers, and theripists. The reality of it is in the privacy of our own home we yell, use choice words describing "butt", don't cook everynight, and let our kids eat  pop-tarts for lunch while watching cartoons.

But of course we can't admit that, what would that look like to others petending to be perfect.  While alot of very good things have come about from net-working and trying to do the best for our kids. I also believe that it has created alot of self doubt, and way to much political correctness.

We need to take back our freedom of choices in the way we raise our own kids, I once got a call from some rights group trying to get me to sign a petition to force some movie company into making more Family Friendly movies.  I of course said NO, there are plenty of movies and books among other things for my kids. She was very offended and tried the Guilt trip of what kind of mother was I!! I giggled and thought who in the world has that kind of time to waste trying to force others into doing what you say, I also giggled at the thought of her own kids sitting in front of a blank TV, wondering when mommy was getting off the phone.

Anyway, I am not your typical mom and I definitly don't do or say things just because I'm afraid of being looked upon as a bad parent. I can be harsh in my views and sympathetic to all of us that overwhelmed about what we are "supposed" to be doing. My family is happy and my kids are normal (to a point lol) What's stuck in my crawl is the fact that my kids have to socialize and go by  the rules of what other Mothers think is the "RIGHT WAY".  It's hurting our future generation of people who will one day be running the country.

My way is the right way for my family, and your way for yours. I just want others to stop deciding what is the "only" way.

Thank You for letting me say my peace.
