Kids With Special Needs Are Not "God's Punishment"

According to Bob Marshall of Virginia, kids like my son are a punishment for women who chose to abort previous pregnancies (something I actually chose NOT to do, ooh irony). From Newsleader.com: ...more

Size Does Matter

Since the dawn of time, women have been telling men that size doesn’t matter but, oh, how times have changed. Size does matter, at least when it comes to your benefits package. These days, as you stroll out into the single scene, you just might want to dangle your group health insurance card as a tantalizing offering to the opposite sex. For maximum appeal, make sure the side with the co-pay amount is clearly visible....more

Clinton's Arteries Top Arkansas Entertainment News

I can't think of anything entertaining about stents. Maybe they misread it as stunts. You know, like the President has a stunt double.  While he's out helping  Haiti rebuild from its devastating earthquake and helping end AIDS in foreign countries, his stunt double crawls in bed with Hillary every night. It's called GLOBAL warming

I’m not a scientist. I’m not a talk show host. I’m not a meteorologist. I’m a mom, and I’m an American living in Canada. You know, Canada? The country hosting the Winter Olympics? The ones where they have had to postpone events due to the unusually warm weather? The place where it’s rumored we live in igloos? It’s called Global warming….not just U.S. warming....more

How Feminism Has Ruined the World

Recently, I google blog searched the term feminism. I decided to this after looking for feminist perspectives on a specific topic that I planned to write about. When I put in various search terms and included the word feminism or feminist, many blogs spewing vitriol about the horrible things that feminists have done to what was otherwise a perfect world came up. I thought a search on just the word feminism might prove illustrative. Oh, how right my hunch was! ...more

Exchange Rate Roulette

Living and working in a foreign country is an amazing and thrilling thing, but it does not come without its headaches. For many British expats who are living in Europe for the benefit of constant sunshine and ripe fruit, this is not news to them – their incomes are at the mercy of continually shifting exchange rates. This week the European currency took a hit because of the global recession and the international market’s recognition that lots of debt is not a good thing: the nation of Greece is in a bad way. So what’s the big deal?...more
