We're writing to share some exciting news. BlogHer has begun a strategic partnership with three NBC Universal properties: iVillage -- the leading destination site for women online -- BravoTV.com and Oxygen.com.
As co-founders, Elisa, Jory and I are extremely excited about the opportunity this partnership presents to raise the profiles and voices of the extraordinary women blogging on this site - a key part of BlogHer's mission. In addition, Women@NBCU, the company’s new content and marketing initiative geared to women, will collaborate with BlogHer on joint advertising sales, which we expect to raise the earning potential of the 2,200 bloggers who are our partners in the BlogHerAds publishing network.
We cannot imagine better partners than iVillage, Bravo and Oxygen, with their superior programming and tools, both online and on-air. The NBCU team is led by Lauren Zalaznick, creator of Top Chef and Project Runway, who is now President of Women and Lifestyle Entertainment networks for NBC Universal.
As you'll read in today's announcement -- and can see for yourself if you visit their sites -- iVillage, BravoTV.com and Oxygen.com are regularly featuring headlines from BlogHerAds member blogs and BlogHer.com. As you can also see on our homepage today, BlogHer will feature these partners too, promoting iVillage headlines regularly across our network, and cross-promoting new programs on BlogHer.com where appropriate.
Congrats everyone! We see this partnership as a terrific confirmation of women as power users and powerful consumers, and a compliment to what we are all creating here together.

Oh Frabjous Day!
This is so exciting! I can't wait to find out more. Too bad I'm in class all day. . . .
Well, except for right this second. But, a person can do only so much in a ten-minute break, and the potty is wayyyy down the hall.
Tomorrow, however, I'm taking some time off. I'm, um, doing some traveling.
I think this new partnership is going to be FANTASTIC. Heck, it already is!

Exciting!
Congrats to all of you! This is exciting news. Quick question: if we missed the Ad Network conference call today and are headed to BlogHer 08 during the second option tomorrow, will there be an alternative?
Again, I can't tell you how happy I am for you. What an accomplishment, and we are all lucky to be able to be part of this community.

Notions of Identity
Hi Lara
Thanks for asking! How about this, since the BlogHerAds team is going to be at the conference through Sunday: We'll develop a FAQ for the BlogHerAds members who are coming to the conference and post it on the BlogHerAds.com site next week. As always, we'll update the BlogHerAds newsletter with the latest and greatest.
Look forward to meeting you at BlogHer '08!
Best,
Lisa

I hope you're taking a minute (ok, a second) to really enjoy what you've accomplished. It is these kinds of connections that will expand involvement and engagement on so many levels that mean something. Thank you so much for the vision and hard work.

A Wonderful Accomlishment
So I'm at 36,000 feet on my way to San Francisco and my Blackberry starts vibrating off the hook---by the way something I thought couldn't happen in the air. Anyway, I take a look and there are about 30 emails about this very exciting news.
The guy next to me saw me grinning like an idiot and immediately pretended to go to sleep. But no matter. He didn't know he was sitting next to someone who's part of a group of talented, dynamic and forward thinking women.
His loss.
Congratulations to everyone involved in putting this very important piece of BlogHer's future in place.

Can I just tell you how exciting it is to see more and more of the world taking the blog community as a force to be reckoned with...as opposed to a bunch of women with too much time on their hands? I'm enthralled to see what happens next. Thanks for taking us all along!

WE NEED HEROINES!
You are one of mine! Well done, Lisa. As you move up the ladder you take a ton of women with you. Thanks!
I am a new Blogher. For over 20 years I have combined my art and writings in various forms -- greeting cards, books, gift art, etc. -- and sent them out into the world for people to enjoy. Blogher seems the perfect venue to extend these little messages further. I would appreciate your taking a look at what I do and commenting on my blog. Many thanks.

Three Awesome Blogging Women
Way to go Jory, Lisa and Elisa!
Women-owned businesses in the United States have grown at a rate twice
that of male-run businesses over the past two decades. The bad news is,
they amount to only 41 percent of companies nationally, according to
the Center for Women's Business Research. While there are an estimated
10.4 million women-owned business in the nation. Women business owners often face more challenges than their
male counterparts, namely in raising capital.
Congratulations on meeting the challenge and winning!
