I've known my best friend for thirty years
now

we've been there through boyfriends, baby bottles, husbands, and hassles.  We are always just a phone call or email away.

I met my best friend

I met my best friend Adrienne, about 18 years ago.  I met her at a party at a neighbors house and we quickly became friends.  Adrienne and I are like sisters.  She introduced me to my husband a few weeks after we met and my husband and I have been married now for 17 years.  Adrienne and her husband started dating the same time as us and got married shortly after we did.  They are Godparents to our son.  We're so close, that when her husband opened his own business, I even started to work for him.  She's such a wonderful person, someone who is always there for a laugh or a tear.

Friends through our kids.

I met one of my closest friends through our daughters. When our daughters were younger they were really close friends. We started talking at different events at the school and during volleyball games.. Both of daughters were on the volleyball team. Now are daughters are all grown up and in college.  We are always there for one another when needed.

friends

I keep touch with my friends through phone, email and Facebook as well as in person. My best friend is my husband. I've known him for over 19 years. We laugh a lot together so I think that's why we've stayed so close. We enjoy just hanging out. My newest friend I met at church. Our younger kids love to play together which is great.

My best friendship

is almost 30 years old.  We met in the 6th grade and have been friends ever since.  Didn't matter that we went different directions in life - she an artistic path and me an academic path - we know each other in a way others never will or do.

My Best Friend

Great subject, and great giveaway.

Friends are wonderful

- How do you keep in touch with your friends?
 - How long have you known your best friend? What has kept you so close?
 - How did you meet your newest friend?

We keep in touch mostly by email, then phone, and believe it or not, I don't know how to text!

I have known my best friend for 35 years.  We played in the marching band together and now work together!  Music is our shared passion.

I met my newest friend at a Mommy & Me play date.

Keeping in touch

I have friends across the country and I keep in touch with them through phone, email, facebook etc.  It is so nice to keep in touch with friends from high school or the various jobs I have worked.  No matter how far away I always have somone to talk to about anything.

My Daughter

My Best Friend is my daughter, who is 30 yrs. old. We have a great time together.

My Best Friend

My best friend is my dentist or at least used to be. A wierd way to meet though.

My Best Friend

I have known my best friend all of her life and most of mine, she is my sister.   She is the person that I can talk to about anything and she will understand.  We share all of each others secrets, joys, and tragedies...no matter how small or how large.  We have known each other forever and depend on each other.  She is my best friend.  Although we live 1200 miles apart, we still keep in touch.  We have our regular weekly telephone conversation (measured in hours instead of minutes).  We email and we communicate through Facebook.  Sometimes I think that we may even communicate through ESP since we somehow seem to know what the other is thinking.

"Ni hao!"

My BFF and I try to get away together at least once a year, out of town, usually at the beach, to soak in some deep conversation and together time to keep us linked through the busy years.

My Best Friend

We met at a Walk-a-Thon in 5th grade. She lives 8 miles away, and we actually spent the first few years corresponding through old-time hand-written letters! She went to a different school until 8th grade, when she finally came to my school. We've been best friends for 35 years and talk almost on a daily basis. We have kids that go to the same school now, and we have been through lots of times, good and bad, including having babies, illnesses, marriages and divorces (hers), deaths and funerals. I know if I need her, I just have to call and she will be here. It's the same for her. If she needs me, she calls, day or night, and I'm here for her. I think we'll always be best friends, til death - and maybe even afterwards too!  :)

My best friend is Shirlee

My best friend is Shirlee and I met her when I was 13 years old. I moved in down the street and my first day I was walking along wondering if anyone would be outside. Down the street comes these three girls all walking in a row. They said their names were "Cindy, Cindy and...." Shirlee told the truth and said her real name. The other two girls WERE both named Cindy and they wanted her to tell me that was her name too just to fool me. I loved her honesty and I ended up being best friends with her. It's been 24 years and we are still close!

I keep in touch via email.

I keep in touch via email. I've known my best friend for just around ten years. We have very close personalities and share a hobby. I met my newest friend when she introduced herself on a parenting group. I invited her and her son to join our meetup group.

How I keep in touch

I keep in touch with my friends via phone, email and social networking sites like Facebook. I'm married to my best friend. I've known him for 8 years. Our ability to communicate and patience has kept us close. I met my newest "little friend" while shopping.

My best friend

Online

We have been friends for ten years and NEVER met. She is truly one of the sweetest and kindest women I have ever known. We have watched our kids grow into teens and adults. Her oldest is going to have a baby; my oldest had hers two years ago. It is one of the reasons that I am thankful for the internet. I would never have met her without it and it has helped us stay close with pictures, posts and emails.

One Good Friend Is Better Than 10 Bad!!!!!

That is what my Mom always told me! My best friend and I (Jacinda) have been best friends and very close for 24 years! We live states apart now but always call, visit and e-mail. We never keep secrets or lie to each other. We are always there for each other no matter what the problem may be or the miles between us!We sometimes get caught up in our everyday lives but always remember each other. I was her maid of honor in her wedding on the beach and I walked all the way around  everyone instead of walking down the aisle! I thought I ruined her ''perfect'' wedding and she just laughed and said it was something to remember! We NEVER get mad at each other. We love to laugh!!!We met in my grandma's backyard  and we have been best buds since! Always keep it honest and laugh a lot! Never get to caught up in everyday life to not stay in touch!(Did I mention we are from two different worlds and still love each other?)

friends

I've moved over 10 times and have at least one friend from each place that I still keep in contact with - letters, emails, and calls happen out of the blue. A visit once a decade is preferable but not necessary.  The best way to keep the friendship alive is surprise - I once sent someone a shoe with stamps pasted all over it that read, 'I'm one step behind you all the way."  Another time I delivered a kit for someone having guests that had a chocolate bar, tylenol pm, and a photo of me to talk and vent to.  It's the unexpected that keeps life fun.

I've started using Facebook

I've started using Facebook to reconnect with friends. It is a great tool for sharing photos and videos with people.

When my best friend and I

When my best friend and I were in high school we made plans to meet in NYC on March 15th 2012. We lost touch over the years and I was still planning to show up. We found each other on Facebook a few months ago and the first thing we said to each other was how excited we are to go to NYC. I'm really thankful to Facebook for getting us together again!

How do you keep in touch with your friends?

I keep in touch with friends by the usual methods phone, email and facebook.  Facebook make is so easy to share photos and the "little" things quickly at 1:00 am - when I finally have a moment to myself :-).

Now that I am in my 40's my

Now that I am in my 40's my friends are more precious to me than ever.  Especially since a few have died far too young.  I have known many of my best friends since childhood or my teens and they are my constant source of support and inspiration.
