Natural Selection Foods, based in California, has been linked to the E. coli outbreak that has killed one person and sickened nearly 100 across the United States.
Food and Drug Administration officials said reports of illness have come in from 19 states.
The company has voluntarily recalled products containing spinach.
The Associated Press reports officials are stressing the bacteria has not been isolated in products sold by Natural Selection Foods. The link was established by patient accounts of what they had eaten before becoming ill.
