I'm trying not to hate on last month's lack of strike outs because I didn't do too badly. I just didn't do as well as I'd hoped. Then again, if you look at the list I posted here and the list on my Any.Do app, I got a whole heck of a lot done, so Yay! No hating on the lists!
Let's see how much of this I can get done in April. (I have high hopes. Very high hopes.)
1) Get some dirt, mulch, gravel for the backyard.
2) GET THESE BOXES PACKED AND MAILED. (5 down)
3) Take a real day off when my brother visits....more
After a pretty dismal showing on the February to do list, I'm going to try something a little different. I'm using the Any.DO app this month to help me do some of the things that I always seem to push aside. The stuff that doesn't HAVE to be done -- stuff I would just really like to do ... someday. I'm hoping to have some of those somedays this month. Click that link to read my post about the app... and come back on 4/1 to see how I did (and how I like the app.) You could download it, too, and see how you like it....more
Uh oh. February is a short month... I'm worried about my list, already. That's never a good sign! So, maybe I should try and go easy on myself? Yea, that's what I'll do... here's my "go easy" list for the month:...more
Happy New Year! A new year, a new set of lists. Yay! I'm almost excited about my list today, even though I don't really know what's going to show up there until I start typing. Which is weird. The first day of a new year usually just feels like another day to me. Maybe this is a good omen and I'm going to have a great month.
On to my list:...more
Thank goodness September is over. I much prefer October and am always much better at getting things done. Let's hope that trend lasts... Here's my to do list for the month:
1) Take the Funhouse car to the shop. ...more
Ah September, the month I love to hate and this one's going to be a doozy. How many of these things can I get done... I hope I can at least get the ones moved from August into the DONE column. Not that I have columns or anything, but you know what I mean.
1) Mail my mom's birthday gift. (I have to start early with this because I am BAD with getting stuff into the mail box.
2) Mail a box for Jenn and JMP.
3) Work on JMP's stocking. Christmas is coming, for goodness sakes!...more

Here I am in the hotel at BlogHer 12 wondering what in the heck I might actually be able to get done this month. Probably not much... but here's what I'm going to try and do:
1) Order birthday gifts for a zillion peoples.
2) Book a hotel (or 2?) for our trip to Philly.
3) Move RJ into Prince J's old bedroom.
4) Blog about something fun? Funny? Weird?
5) Take TW on a date? For her birthday? Or just for fun? Maybe?
6) Get some work done on JMP's Christmas stocking.
7) Call my dad. ...more
A few days ago, I read the post linked in A Curated Home: Purging of Things and decided I needed to do this. I've been thinking about it for awhile, in part because TW spent several weeks asking if she could throw away my stuff. That was annoying because NO SHE CANNOT THROW AWAY MY STUFF. I told her she could throw away HER stuff and I think she did throw away a few things. I don't know. I try to ignore her when she gets like this. But she was right -- we have so much stuff. So much clutter. And we do not need it....more
Okay, fine. I felt like I wanted to have my OWN post in List-Lovers. And here it is! For July, I hope the following:
Here's my list:
(1) Actually accomplish one of my work tasks.
(2) Continue my starting-to-take-care-of-myself regime.
(3) Continue to practice being gentle with myself.
(4) Make an appointment for an annual physical (been three years and my health is at its all-time low).
(5) Plan my vacation.
(6) Inhale. Exhale. Repeat.
I'm kind of amazed at all of the stuff I didn't get done while on my three week vacation to Hawaii. I started out strong and then once JMP was born... everything else went out the window and here I am wondering where the month of May disappeared to. Shoot.
Oh well, that makes it easier to create my June list, right?
1) Finish four blog posts I started last week - that aren't specifically about being a grandmother.
2) Take my car for its emissions test....more
I could totally rig my May list -- I could put "take a day off!" on my list and ... poof, done. But, it's not right to add something THAT easy to the list, the whole point of putting "take a day off" on the list is to encourage me to do something I would not normally do. So... nope. It's not there. I do think I'll be able to get these done -- surely -- with three weeks of vacation time in front of me... ...more
Could I ignore my To Do Lists any more than I have been this year? March was especially bad. Either I don't know anything at all about my life or someone is doing his/her darnedest to screw me up. Probably a combination of the two. But now it's April and I have to get some stuff done. Johnny Mac Pippin is coming and he won't wait until I get everything on my list crossed off. So......more
I came so close to finishing my list in February -- I know it says I only did 6 of 10 but I was really much closer than that. I did some partial things and I was READY to do other things but had to postpone them due to weird kid activities (let's just blame RJ for everything, ok?)
So, this month I'm carrying those forward and I will do them....more
