Somehow it's Sunday afternoon and I have no specific "health topic" to blog about today. As I sifted through my saved links, for the third time, looking for a topic or some inspiration I realized I was wasting my time looking for ONE topic when I had several great ones sitting here just waiting to be blogged. So, here they are, all of the posts I've saved this month.
First up, a brand new "stop smoking" blog. Good timing, for me personally... Cold Turkey is written by Kelly. She's a mom and she lives in Georgia and she's on day 7 of her quit.
So far today has just been one damn big cigarette craving. Every time I pause in any activity, it's there. Unless I am totally engrossed in something else, I am craving a cigarette. But I still haven't smoked one. Hooray!
The Nurse Practitioner provides us with an Ode to a Yeast Infection. Here's a little snippet...
There's a yeast in my beast and it just won't go away!
I was on antibiotic therapy for what seemed forever and a day.I feel rather like a pup who scoots along the floor.
I've itched and burned until I can't take it one minute more!
Here's a tough topic, if you're a suicidal college student, your college may evict you.
It doesn't just deal with suicide attempts; one student at George Washington University was kicked out of school after committing himself to a hospital for depression. While, in the past, many schools said that adult students were liable for their own behavior, several lawsuits where it was determined that the school could have done something for a depressed student have changed that thinking.
A blogger from my little town says Dear Cancer; fuck you.
I hate the way you move in to the people I love, and take up residence. Like a squatter, you just make yourself at home, and take anything you want. You don’t care what the place looks like when you leave, as long as you have a roof over your head and enough to eat while you’re there.
Now, wasn't that more interesting than just one topic blogging?
