Hillary Lang of Wee Wonderfuls is starting an exciting new project: a Make-a-Long Story.

The make-a-long story is an online book than is half story, half craft book. The protagonists of the story are dolls, Olive and Archie, and their tale is told in photographs of them staged in various adventures. The patterns for everything in the book will be available as PDFs to the reader/crafter so they can craft along with the story. Every installment will have a new project or projects that is featured in the action. The first pattern available will be for our hero and heroine and then from there we'll see where the story takes us. There will be outfits, knitting patterns, embroidery design, accessories, hats, sidekicks, etc.

Chapter One begins with Olive and Archie getting ready to start third grade and discovering the challenge of the "big kid's" playground.   I can't wait to see what  they must do to be allowed there!  Pattern #1 is available with this chapter.  The PDF patterns ($10)  for making your own Olive and Archie and Hillary now include  a freebie of the backpacks!!
