For someone who spends a lot of her time writing about sports and fitness I happen to be an alarmingly lazy and out of shape person. I like to justify this by saying that I have two year old twins and I just don't have time for exercize. Then I started reading Three City Girls.
(Be prepared to either be very motivated or feel very bad about yourself.)
Kim has triplets. Just having triplets is an amazing thing. As a parent of twins I am in awe of anyone capable carrying or raising higher order multiples. But that isn't all. Kim is also a triathlete.
That's right. You heard me. This woman has three four year old girls and somehow she is able to train for a triathalon. Did I mention she works 20 - 30 hours a week? Here is how she explains it:
This summer I completed two sprint and one Olympic distance (1 mile swim, 24 mile bike, 6 mile run) triathlons, the first three of my life. I had been wanting to do one since college, but I never thought I had the time—go figure. It took having triplets to realize that I would never have the time unless I made it myself.
I don't know about the rest of you but I am impressed. Here is a woman who has chosen to have it all. She is a professional, a triathlete, a mother and a blogger. She writes, cross-trains and still finds time to take her children to art museums.
You can read more about Kim on her blog Three City Girls: On Life With Triplet Daughters.
Contributing Editor Sarah also blogs at Sarah and the Goon Squad and Draft Day Suit.
