Amazingly generous food bloggers around the world are joining together for the third consecutive year in a massive fundraising effort coordinated by Chez Pim. This year's efforts for A Menu for Hope will benefit the United Nations World Food Program, and two Blogher food editors are serving as regional hosts. Food bloggers all over the world are donating prizes, then other bloggers and blog readers will buy $10 virtual raffle tickets for a chance to win a prize.
As usual there are some pretty spectacular prizes being offered. I'm guessing one prize that will be of great interest to Blogher readers is the chance to win free registration to the Blogher 07 Conference being held in Chicago this summer. Lisa, Jory, and Elisa have generously agreed to donate a pass which covers admission for all sessions and parties at Blogher 07 as a prize for A Menu for Hope. Here's how you can help get food to hungry people have a chance to win a free admission pass to Blogher 07:
1. Go to the donation page at First Giving.
2. Make a donation. Each $10 will give you one raffle ticket towards a prize. (Prize code for the Blogher Conference Admission is UW25. You can also see other prizes at Chez Pim starting on December 11.) Please specify which prize or prizes you'd like in the *Personal Message* section when confirming your donation.
3. If your company matches charity donations, please remember to check the box and fill in the information so A Menu for Hope can claim the corporate match.
4. Please also check the box to allow us to see your e-mail address so we can contact you in case you win.Your e-mail address will not be shared.
5. Check back at Chez Pim on January 15 to see who the winners are. (When registration for Blogher 07 opens, Kristy Sammis will create a code that will allow the winner to register for free.)
