When I first read this article (I read about it on The Big Lead) I felt really sorry for this bride.
Her wedding is planned for Saturday and so is the Saints/Eagles playoff game.
And they are both in New Orleans. And a lot of her guests are canceling to go to the game.
I'm sure when Tara Chauffe originally picked the date no one imagined that the struggling Saints would ever make they playoffs. New Orleans hasn't seen their football team in the post season since 2000.
So now, Tara feels bad that The Saints are going to steal her thunder, but also that her friends will miss the game. Some of them paid $600 for tickets that they will not be able to use - including bridesmaids and groomsmen.
The couple says they will have a television at the reception for the Saints fans.
When I first read the article I felt sick for this poor woman, but then I thought about it some more.
At least her team made the playoffs.

I'm sorry, I have to laugh
I think I feel the same way about professional sports fans as my severely allergic friend feels about my pets. I simply do not get it. at all.
I wish she could have changed the date by one day!

That's horrible
I don't know what I would have done if I was in her situation. I mean come on that is suppose to be the most memorable day of you life and becasue of some football game only half the party is going to show up.
Just my opinion I would be looking for new friends.
