
According to the National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service (which uses the curious acronym ATTRA): "Biodynamic agriculture was the first ecological farming system to arise in response to commercial fertilizers and specialized agriculture after the turn of the century and is...an advanced organic farming system [with an] emphasis on food quality and soil health." I've often heard it referred to as "beyond organic." I learned more about biodynamics from these blogs.
