Dear Evia,
I have been an avid reader of this blog for months. Although I've enjoyed your take on the DBR black men, I haven't commented. I have shared some of the things that you've said with many other people. Today, I went to do my daily check on what was happening with the blog. I was greeted by the only invited readers could log in. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I felt that I've lost a real important resource. Although I am married to a black man, my daughters are who I really care about. I want them to reach for a person who is deserving of them. And I want them to not settle just because it pleases everyone. I want them to have a rich experience in life and to be with the person on this Earth who is meant for them. Color should be the least of the requirements for true happiness.
So, I've said all of this to beg you to invite me to be one of your readers. I appreciate, as a mother, the empowering young black women. Thank you for your consideration.
