Please excuse me if this has been covered. I just joined yesterday, and I have searched a bit for this, but to no avail.
I'm wondering if there is a standard BlogHer button to add to my blog. You know, like the one Firefox uses or ones like these. I think it would be a nice way to get more women to join.

I love the idea of having a Blogher button. Maybe just a smaller, more stylized version of the logo.

Standardized buttons
Actually, yes, we know we have got to get these done. We have a bunch we're planning, actually.
In the meantime, if you go to the Conference section you can right click on the BlogHer 06 button there and save that image. that's the one I use in my email signatures right now.

I decided to make one to use
I decided to make one to use for the time being. Anyone is welcome to use it, as long as you don't hotlink to my site.
We have buttons in the works
But the site is still in beta, so we don't want to get ahead of ourselves. :D

Blogher is bigger than one or two
Why wouldn't someone else do the buttons while you guys are adding capability to the website? There are lots of talented women in this Blogher community, so there's no reason to serialize projects.
The website could sure use a designer while you guys continue to build out the functionality. And then even another person could work on buttons and badges. It's all too much work to for one or two people. Engage the community instead. Isn't that part of it's purpose?
Hey wonkthis: you're
Hey wonkthis: you're absolutely right, and Laura and I were being a bit too coy. By "planning" and "in the works" we actually mean that yes, we're working with someone from the BlogHer community already and very far along in the process, but not quite ready to release them :)
Obviously it's great for us to see that these are hotly anticipated!

My point was that the site is in beta
Which translates into something like: Not ready for primetime.
We will have the full launch package happening, with buttons, press releases and all that.
And let me just add that the incredible response to this site has been overwhelming. Over 6000 unique visitors and 500 registered members in one week, without any official announcement ... wow!

Thanks ladybug
Ladybug, thanks for filling in the gap. And thanks for sharing the site to make these on the fly. I like your proactive contribution, and it's going on my blog before the day is out.
Very cool.
They don't call me
They don't call me "Proactive Busy Body" for nuthin'!!
(For those who weren't paying attention, that's my blog address)
Happy to fill in the space while the official stuff gets created.
:D
great
Thanks ladybug- I really like the button! Nice work (and quick too!)
Another button (for now)
I also made one and it's on my blog - feel free to snag it. Just host it on your own please.

Thanks!
