Hi.

For those of you interested in Internet Safety, I'm glad I signed up.

For the past two years, I've spear-headed Internet Safety education and awareness not only in my elementary school where I created and implmented a unique Internet Safety curriculum for 250 2nd and 3rd graders, but in my entire district as well.

I am the Regional Office of Education #26 Internet Safety Coordinator, a position that was created for me. Although online safety is my job, it is my passion and has been for several years.

I also write a regular newspaper column about these issues, am a mother of two ornery teenagers(and have 3 cats and a dog, although they dont go online--YET)..
I am Chairperson of a committee I assembled to brainstorm said issues. I also work with over 500 children every week in a computer lab environment, so its no wonder I'm tired!!

I have a very unique perspective based on the above, when it comes to Internet Safety education and awareness, which most people dont have and I will hopefully be able to share experiences, and enlighten those who will listen.

As I always have to have a big project to work on, I've put together a Internet Safety resource blog for educators and parents.
